Alzheimer's

She is M.

A former vidid and bright biologist and teacher from our neighborhood, a pensioner old lady, that I have known for almost 25 years that we both have lived in this housing company. She has been diagnosed Alzheimer's disease within last years. Her husband takes care of her now and it seems that she is allowed to walk alone only in our housing company area anymone. Today we met and chatted with her, as we took our garbage out to the concealer.

She had a problem as she did not remember why the flag is high today. After a moment I remembered which flagging day it was, and told her, that it is the Veterans' day. She became so bright and smiley and she told me why this particular day is her favorite flagging day: her father and the oldest brother came back alive from the finnish wars decades ago. She remembered them and was still smiling as she walked back home ❤️
