Students’ wappu is almost here!

Specially students keep on wishing how vappu would be a normal... the Labour day of Finland is coming, it is a great fun student happening always, but corona spiced again this year.

This is a local small island Konsulisaari in the middle of the stream. There is that small statue too, Kultakutri.

I wonder if she will have white student cap on her hair during the vappu. Or maybe the Suomi neito -statue on Hämeensilta -bridge will get the cap this year - as it normally does. Anyway the student departments already have taken their bright overalls into the island in the middle of the rapid Tammerkoski. This is like The crowd of almost thousand figures that make up the Silent People -art in small scale. Young people, students, have suffered a lot because on corona.
