Celebratory
This isn’t very tiny but it is in tribute to Pinkhairdlady (tiny Tuesday) celebrating her 60th birthday, congratulations and a very happy birthday.
Returning from a couple of hours having coffee in our friends’ garden, surprisingly warm for a less sunny morning and we got back as the first drops of rain fell, I thought this view of our front garden was rather nice with the red tulips at the front corner echoed by the ones among the daffs in the far corner.
The orange ones that were flowering here are now over and in the picture you can see one of our new trees, a malus, against the fence to the right of the first shot.
We are celebrating as it has survived. It was one of our first post lockdown purchases last year and we were a bit worried as it seemed to lose its leaves fairly early. As you can see it is in leaf and the flowers, seen on the right, are coming along well. It is called Malus Royalty. The other tree we bought, a Rowan, is also coming into leaf.
Whilst enjoying our coffee and friends’ company I got a phone call from the surgery for my second jab appointment. We had just been talking about it as they were there at the same time as us back in February. I booked for both Chris and I on Friday afternoon. Another good reason to celebrate.
Not long after I got a text to say that both our friends had got their appointments too on Friday! All good news.
