High flying at High Dam

So amazing to get back up into the Lakes and back to a favourite place of ours, High Dam. It just never disappoints, so serene and soothing. It's an easy walk up which means over the years we have spent long days up there picnicking with other families and with canoes and slack lines for the kids. This time was just a walk and a brief swim in the lake for me - which was joyfully brisk and invigorating.

Then we had friends over for dinner which was as just as good as I remembered! We have a new Ooni Pizza oven which we have started to get to grips with it - the pizzas are amazing, it is just a few tricks with the dough that still need to be learnt.

I think we were all so happy to be together again - they arrived at 5pm to sit in the sun and it was a whole 7.5 hours later that they left - with still so much more to catch up on. Happy days.
