Pink moon ...

Running on the beach before breakfast the sky was darkly clouded. The sea was flat calm. A pink capped swimmer was making serene progress along the shoreline. A pack of dogs hurled themselves along the sand, and mercilessly, at each other too.

A very busy morning in the home office resisting the temptation to put the heating on as the temperature continued to plummet and the wind veered to the ENE making it feel like only 3 degrees.

For our walk this afternoon we had to dig out our hats, scarves and even thought about gloves such was the wintry chill! When we reached the promenade we encountered the full force of the spring storm. The windows on the houses on the Esplanade Terrace were being washed by the spray. There was no beach to be seen here. For once, no swimmer was foolish enough to dive into this briney cauldron. I don’t blame them!

These super moons really do have a profound effect on the tides!
