Birding

We went up to Dartmoor to look for the cuckoo, parking at Haytor and walking to Emsworthy Mire. This little pleasure was denied to us last year. Pleased to say we heard a cuckoo throughout the day and caught a glimpse of one. This barn though provided the highlight of the day. In the trees surrounding it there was a redstart- the first one we have seen. It was a lovely day on the moor, and quiet.
