Early Riser

This chap has visited the garden several times since lockdown last year, as has a female pheasant. Yesterday they were together. He looks stunning and croaks endearingly. Usually they arrrive before we wake up. It was Jacqui’s birthday today. We had breakfast outside at a favourite place in their secret cafe garden, and later had a meal outside by the harbour. Still trying to get warm.
