Potholes in a strange place

Not on the roads. Well, there are loads of potholes in the roads around County Down, especially on the very holey coast road from Newtownards to Portaferry. You’re lucky if you don’t lose your car down one of those.

No, these particular potholes are on the surface of my eyes! Eek! That’s how my lovely optician, K, described the damage to my cornea today, due to me having very dry eyes. Apparently I wake up a bit suddenly and rip bits off as I open my eyes! Heaven forfend. She obviously isn’t aware of my slothful habits.

So I’m putting nice cold drops in my eyes every two hours now. When I remember. I need to get those potholes filled in!
