Not Quite Right
It was 2007 ...... the 28th of April to be precise.
That was the date of my first Blip (who claimed my 14 years was the 18th - and who say my next milestone is in 77 more entries which will be 5,110...which if you divide by 365 equals 14 (but not taking leap years into account).
I have no idea what Blip is up to any more.
Anyway - SWMBO and I took the car down to Peebles to have the battery checked (goosed) and a new one fitted.
Dennis - car dropped off at 2pm (to a smiling face) and collected at 3pm fully valeted.
We left the car and had a wander down to the horse and jockey sculpture made by Kev, the blacksmith. I have met him a few times and love his work (which he makes from scrap for environmental reasons). His larger pieces (like his horses and highland cows) always have a wee something inside them (I have seen mice, books and nesting birds) so I went looking inside the horse (made from old horse shoes) and managed to get a glimpse of the hidden piece ...... its heart. I was really chuffed at managing to get a shot of it.
After that we went round to the cafe in the theatre foyer for a hot drink (it had started to hail as we pulled into the garage car park but didn't last) and a bit of cake before heading back to collect the nice clean car.
I am not sure if there was an engine management upgrade done (they always pug it in to check for any) but we got much better mileage on the way home than we normally do.
Extra pictures are a giant thistle and some roses and sunflowers.
