Humshaugh Community Shop ("One Street")

The Hexham Courant has a big article about our village in the glossy supplement this week. It reads really well. The village shop features large because this is the shop that the village rescued and is run entirely by volunteers. It's a great place to go, although you must never be in a hurry.

The article also talks about our community electric car, the theatre group, community orchard, apple press (news to me) and so on. I should think that house prices should shoot up immediately!

I walked to the shop. I could not stand another day of being trapped inside the house. Arth shows no ill effects from this activity, in fact he has been less trouble today (so far).

Off to a girls' night out in Haltwhistle and a meeting about the Festival exhibition before that. Even an overnight stay at M and B's house. Hopefully Arth will behave (!) and I'll be distracted.
