Wild Strawberry
A couple of months ago I agreed to take on the post of joint Artist in Residence for the Langdyke Trust - a scary but also exciting prospect.
Today K and I met at Swaddywell Pit to discuss plans for the coming year, which we're using as a time for experimentation, with more formal events taking place in 2022 when life is hopefully more normal.
After our discussion I had a stroll round the pit and found the first Wild Strawberry flowers of the year in a sunny, sheltered corner. It won't be long before the Grizzled Skippers, that rely on this species, will be dancing round their flowers.
