Enjoying the View
We were awake early with the sunlight streaming in through the blinds and as I turned over in bed it started to collapse - no cheeky comments please lol! We have wooden slats that have a rubber strip to stop them moving, but as of yet we haven’t found the rubber strips, so the slats were slowly moving and sliding off the bed frame. Thankfully I must have slept very well and not moved much in the night, otherwise I’d probably have woken up on the floor lol! It gave us something to laugh at, but obviously meant we had to get up.
We decided to take the boys for a walk at the beach and then pick up some bacon for breakfast. The beach is only 1/2 mile away but we drive down just to save time, and then walked along the promenade from Colwyn Bay to Rhos on Sea. We took the boys down onto the beach and they seemed very excited with the sand rather than the pebbles in Brighton.
Then we called at Aldi on the way home to get the bacon and I ended up buying two new dog beds from the middle aisle - I was looking at them in Pets at Home the other day and they were about £35 each, these in Aldi were £10.99 for the same thing and the boys love them, they got straight in them when we got home.
We had the bacon rolls, ordered a new fridge freezer, kettle & toaster to be delivered early next week, booked a Tesco delivery slot for next week and then spent the rest of the day unpacking more boxes. We now have a living room and two useable bathrooms, plus Alan has organised one of the garages into a good utility space. There was an island in the kitchen which we removed, and have put it in the garage for storage, and we have a freestanding unit that we have put next to it with the tumble dryer underneath.
A Sky engineer came to install the new satellite dish and Sky Q boxes, and another neighbour posted a ‘New House’ card through the door welcoming us to ‘The Close’.
We managed to sit down a bit earlier to eat and then had our usual Friday night date night, this time in the conservatory - we do intend to build a new Palace, but that’s a little way down the line, need to get the house sorted first.
Anyway, today’s blip is the view from the back of our house, we have a golf course directly behind, and then the hills, so it’s very peaceful!
