My Bloody Valentine

I last saw My Bloody Valentine in 1990 at the Newcastle Riverside. I t was a magnificently noisy gig, probably one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Following the 1994 album Loveless the band disappeared....until one Sunday morning in early February this year when a new album arrived out of nowhere.

The band are known for their challenging loud shows and tonight the bar staff are giving out complementary earplugs. The highlight (if that's the right word) of tonight's show is the magnificent 'You Made Me Realise' where the 30 seconds of noise and distortion (go to 1 min 40 secs on the video) for about 10 minutes.

Almost 24 hours after the show, my ears are still ringing.
