May Day Curry!

The first day of May. The hawthorn is in leaf but there is no sign of the may flowers. They are still furled up in tight buds, waiting for more warmth and light before they shower themselves upon us.

Andy made a May Day curry! Not a conventional way to celebrate this day but one we both greatly enjoyed. This was the scene as I left the house to walk Merlin whilst he started preparations for dinner.

A busy productive day involving some deeper than usual cleaning of the house, but one also with time to slow down on a morning dog walk in the woods with bluebells. We’ve had more rain today too, so the plants are looking a little perkier.
