Ants in .......

Somehow turned into a rather miserable evening - no rain but an unpleasant cool wind that made me flee into the forest with Luna for the evening walk. Not much going on to photograph except these very large ants busy on their very large anthill. I'm not sure if they are officially protected, but they are very welcome in the forests and important to the eco system, Even the birds like getting sprayed by the ants with their acid as it kills off the bugs in their feathers.
