Big Kid

Has it only been four weeks? Well a little over and Patrick Paddy is now well known in and around the dog walking routes.

It’s like having a child again, he is great fun, very affectionate with a hint of rascal. He loves his walks and the jumping up at us through joy and exuberance are dropping away as he realises that this is his forever home and he will be doing these walks virtually every day.
He particularly enjoys the nature reserve at Swanpool and the stream which he runs up and down in, splashing and having fun.

We get a mixed reception when out with him, by far the majority think he is “a handsome boy” then there is the odd one or two who pick up their pet and clutching it tightly mutter “he’s ready to pounce”, this stems from him having previously being trained to lie prone whenever another dog, no matter what size, or a toddler approaches him.
No matter we are very happy with him.

Aside from walking Paddy a ‘slow’ day enjoying each other’s company before this week of Clare’s holiday comes to an end.
