Little German Owl

Such a great day out with our photography group today. We visited with this little owl and the two hawks in extras that have been rescued by The Raptor Trust in Timaru. Even got to have a hawk on my arm which was exciting. Had the proper glove on of course and it was tethered. It was great to stroke the feathers of the little owl it was so soft and silken
Came home with yet another new appreciation of our wild birds and the folk that rescue and care for them
