Back at Home...
...after a most wonderful week with the Grandchildren - and their parents of course! Such a special time and appreciated even more after a long lock down. After lots of goodbye hugs and kisses we set off at 9 am and were home at 12.30pm. The journey was straightforward but very wet and it is still bucketing it down and very cold outdoors.
Lots of happy memories to savour now for the next wee while until we see them again.
Lots of laughter and joking and snuggles with the Amelia and Lucy in our bed in the mornings. Lots of questions being asked about family, who’s who, which names belong to various family members, why is my name different to Mummy’s maiden name, why is Granndad not Mummy’s dad, what was your Mum’s name and your Dad’s name Grandma, where are they now?????? They are very curious children but we are happy to help them understand all the family links. The blip shows me and Amelia chatting (Lucy did my hair) and Amelia and Lucy -she’s ready for ballet class.
We had a quick lunch - Beans and pitta bread and we’re now sitting cosy by the fire with coffee in the new mugs I got at TKMaxx. I do love a big mug (Frank says that’s why I married him!:-D)
Tomorrow we have to collect the greenhouse in Preston - excited!
The rest of today will be spent doing some washing and tidying our things away then relaxing on the sofas.
Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend, thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts.
:-)X
