Unseasonal

Spent the morning in some meetings and then a phone call reviewing board membership. Once I was finished we had some soup and sandwiches and tried to decide what to do with the day....incredibly windy and grey out there so thoughts of walks etc didn’t take off. Helped A complete an application for a job at the ERI (eek!), but overall they were a bit freaked out today by getting a note from their landlord saying he wants to put their house on the market in the next week or so.
Decided to try and do something, so arranged to meet T&Kt in Frosts garden centre for a wander and a pootle. They picked up some extra veg and bedding plants and A got some gardening gloves, then we went over to the shop part of the centre....they change the layout all the time and unbelievable range of stuff (who started this expansion of garden centres to sell everything from clothes to kitchen gadgets and fancy candles?!) but for a change we were pretty much the only people there. Had some tea and cake, huddled on our own in the covered outdoor area as it blew a hoolie outside and lashed with rain (just as well A had a big cozy jumper to wear!)
Picked up some food for dinner and home to watch some daft films and eat steak pie....the only response to such a grim ‘spring’ day. Hope the weather improves soon!
