Another first sighting

This rose breasted grosbeak visited the bird feeder this morning. Photo is a little unfocused but this was the only front shot I was able to get. I am most often shooting through window glass. I have been truly enjoying the feathered visitors this spring. The bluejay in the extra uses the edge of the feeder to crack  open the sunflower seeds. I often can observe a whole flock of goldfinches - right now at least seven males are trading spots on on the thistle feeder and the fence. They even land beneath the big feeder to snack on the millet dropped by others. It is especially busy when it is rainy (like right now).  Bird seed is part of my entertainment budget!
Packing to head to Wisconsin. A couple of nights with my dad, then on to my daughter's college graduation in Madison. Sadly, only the graduates can attend. We rented a house near campus though and will watch virtually then cookout/celebrate with family. We all have been vaccinated now. Hoping for good weather Saturday.
