Wilted

The Daffodils have been growing for some time now and a week ago their buds were beginning to open. By Wednesday they were in full bloom and looking gorgeously Spring like. On Thursday they looked like this. I have no idea what happened. They usually survive a shower or two. Has something sat on them? Is this a severe case of wiltedness ? A sorry sight is what it is.
