Van life Day 1

We had varied weather on our drive north. Sunshine, hail, sleet and even snow as we drove up the Drumochter Pass. When we left home Cheviot had a good covering and the Cairngorms were also snow-covered.

We don’t normally stay on big sites but it was worth is for the view and that we have hook up which means central heating - very welcome as it is 2 degrees out there.

Mr C suggests I might have a dip as it would help ease the painful foot. But I think I’ll read the Guardian and have a gin after a short walk on the beach.

This is the view from our van. The site is between Fortrose and Rosemarkie. It’s supposed to be good for bottle-nosed dolphin watching.
