Breaking My Duck

Today, I did the second of my monthly Butterfly surveys at Longshaw. Last month, I saw nothing at all as the weather was poor. Given recent weather, and the fact that conditions, although better, weren't ideal, I wasn't too optimistic. It's always a pleasant walk, but the icing on the cake was just one stunning Green Hairstreak -possibly my favourite butterfly. Here's hoping for better weather when I do my next survey!
