Drama

The day started bright, sunny and calm. By lunchtime storm clouds were brewing and we’ve had an afternoon of heavy rain and hail showers - weather more typical of early April.

There was drama in the garden too when a sparrow-hawk spotted a brood of fledgling starlingsfeeding on the lawn. As it dived in for the kill, one poor starling flew into a window and died, whilst another was caught by the hawk. Merlin got very excited by the whole affair.
