Toad

I walked down our front porch, on my way to the garden, and just before descending the steps to the path I noticed a brown lump. Huh! Went back for my camera and he was good enough to pose for me. What a serious face!

In other wildlife news, a sad thing: a red-winged blackbird stopped by for some bird seed and I could plainly see that he has an injured leg. Which of course isn't inhibiting his flying - although it's probably making landings a bit tricky. I doubt I could catch him. Maybe he'll get along okay - time will tell. See extra.
