Waiting

Mace has never been in the basement. It’s not that we ever told him “No”, it’s just not something he ever did. So, he waits. He waits patiently for us to re-emerge from the basement. I often wonder what he thinks this mystery room is? (We use it for the wood stove, laundry and home gym). This is always my view as I ascend the steps. Sweet boy just waiting for my return.
