Water Hawthorn

This is one of my favourite and most successful plants in the garden pond. It flowers for months on end from late April through to late autumn. They have a sweet perfume but the flowers are usually out in the centre of the pond, Out of reach of my nose. However, today I found this one which had migrated from the big pond to the small pond (there is a tiny stream between the two ponds) and I was able to enjoy it in all its glory.
