Skiving for a day

N and Bertie decided to accompany me on a trip over the hill to Tobermory.  Bertie practised his social skills amongst all the visitors (human and canine) along the Main Street then we rewarded him with a walk along this woodland path. He spent all his time sniffing the edges and it wasn’t the wild garlic he was enjoying!
On the way home we fulfilled our public duty and popped into the local polling station. With eleven candidates standing for election to four vacancies it will be interesting to hear the results, although I think it will take quite a while to count with the single transferable vote system that’s in place for the local elections in Scotland.
