Gana

Pronounced 'Hana'. I started the day with Anne, coffee and then photography. It was an absolute joy to see this lady, Gana. She's from Sarajevo and has a story to tell. She was recently in an RTA and spent 5 weeks in hospital having her ankle repaired. Because of being in the hospital and needing to be discharged to an address rather than the street, she's now living in a hostel rather than on a bench, and she's now sober and extremely proud (rightly so!) of it! She looks SO much better, her skin, her eyes, she's coherent when she speaks... It was just so wonderful to see! The transformation is quite staggering. 
I've been on a mission re a crafty birthday gift for a friend here...hoping it works out! 

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Gana's transformation - praying it lasts!! 
2) Bumping into my friend Bruna this evening.
3) The prospect of a call with Gill later on.  
4) A random phonecall and catch up with Maddy Maycock!!
