Celebration!

Flags are out in abundance on the island as we head towards Liberation Day on 9th May. We’ve had very windy weather this week but better today so we put ours up! It’s 76 years since the island was freed from German occupation. My parents lived here during the war and it was a really tough time. Food was scarce and folks made meals out of whatever they could. It’s a great day of celebrations and long may it be remembered!!
