River of Flowers

Friday: Hungry Bee

Early this morning there was a bee walking on a tea towel on an usptairs windowsill.
I put a tiny drop of honey on my finger, the bee was happily sucking it up - we went outside into the sunshine and sat on the garden bench, sun shining on us and the bee becoming more and more active. After a couple of minutes it fluttered its wings, had a little trial lift then flew onto a nearby plant, then into the flowers. I know I shouldn't feed a bee honey but it was the quickest thing to hand ...
It was smaller than the usual honey bees I see in the garden, any expert advice wuld be appreciated!
Had a few hours of gardening. Sieved some fresh compost and started off seeds:
Dwarf French beans (green ones and purple ones), coriander, chamomile, Swiss chard - 5 colours, Nigella mixed colours, Russian rocket, American Land cress, Lambs lettuce, courgette, cucumber and crambe.
Very tired by this evening so just relaxing now ...
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
