Lyde

A busy day. First up a trip across to Stromness to grout the tiles I fitted yesterday. Despite having not done any tiling for a fair while, I reckon they look ok (extra).
From there it was on to look at a leaking water heater which I fitted a couple of years ago. The customer hasn't registered the guarantee for the unit with the manufacturer, which means there is no guarantee. I suspect I will get a call on Monday asking me to supply and fit a new unit.
Next up a customer who has been waiting a while for me to sort out some drippy taps and advise on another couple of issues.
A call out to a burst pipe in Herston changed plans for the rest of the morning and I zoomed south to sort it out. Good to see Rick again, but it would have been nicer under better circumstances. Thankfully a relatively straightforward repair.
Home for lunch, then out with my beautiful wife and the woofers for a wander at Lyde. We both wore our waterproofs, so the rain stayed well away from us. After dropping the dogs at home we headed to Stromness and got out a quick ride on George and Jeepers. Both horses were very fresh today for some reason but it was grand to be back in the saddle again. Timing was perfect - the rain arrived as we left the field.
