Iftar

We had another good morning with our OaSis group. We are small but it is exactly what makes it so effective. The ladies can share their challenges and get answers. It makes the effort worth it. :)

The big thing today was going out for Iftar. It is something that has become as popular as Friday brunches. Anyone who follows me regularly will know I'm not one for a Friday brunch, but I do enjoy the occasional Iftar. Last year, with buffets banned by the government and still being in semi-lockdown, going out for Iftar was completely out of the question.

We've exercised the same caution this year, except G has already been on two with her 4-get-me-not group. She had expressed an interest to go to the one offered by Vivaldi at the Sheraton on the Creek. There's nothing like leaving things to the last minute. With literally just three days to go, we opted for today, despite it being the weekend.

The blip is of the view from the restaurant. Unfortunately, we booked too late to get a table by the window. The extra shows our location in the restaurant. The tables are definitely over two metres apart and the smart folk in the restaurant got around the buffet problem by allocating staff to serve people. I should think there has been a lot less wastage of food too! We were looked after by Irene who we discovered later, was on her second day at work! I wish her well. She certainly had the right attitude to service and learning.

As is often the case when one has too much choice, we left feeling like we never want to eat again - ever. As a result, we are not quite prepared for a new week! It's a good thing G has only two days of school before the Eid break.

PS. I had a call from the clinic to say that the insurance company have approved physiotherapy sessions for me. Amazing. I start next Saturday. :))
