Up and away ...

After months of Covid imprisonment it was very strange to point the car at the English border and drive. There was snow on the Scottish hills. There was hazardous rain on the M6. English Motorway signs implored us to ‘minimise our travel’.

We kept abreast of the Scottish election results as we headed further into English territory.

After almost 7 hours, including two stops, we were reunited, socially distanced, with some of our much missed southern family. Our visit is totally compliant with the very strict English Covid restrictions.
