Today is what it is ....

Went round to make mum soup as she is still unwell with this flu, unfortunately it has spread to me too so we are a poorly pair and did more coughing than talking!
Mother's day is always bittersweet, I am lucky to have my mum and at 82 she is a wonder, yet to be a mum for a short time and then not to be is the hardest thing to come to terms with sometimes - do we ever really get over some of our losses - I am not sure we do we just find ways to cope with them, and to a certain extent its true that time heals .....

Forgot to take my camera out with me so took snap of mum's flowers with a camera phone, so not a great image, but I loved the colours of these flowers and mum has them by her bed to keep her cheerful.

Its cold today and the wind is getting up so I think we are in for a cold snap as predicted.
