TaTs - dawg & stuff

Are you sitting comfortably...

Then I'll begin.

Thursday night's blip was that dad was home and I'd get back to normal.

Friday morning I took Kassie for a walk in the woods to see the wild bluebells to compare with those in the church yard.
As we walked in the front door the phone went - my sister telling me that the paramedics were back because there was a nasty combination of very low blood pressure and high blood sugar and the district nurse was struggling..
He got home again at 19:30.

Saturday the weather was bad so I planned to stay in but at 10:15 mum phoned in a panic - same symptoms as Friday and the district nurse wanted to know if I would prefer to take him to A&E in the car.
He's a priority case because of the immunotherapy so the paramedics came out again.

At 17:30 I got the call that he was ok to come home and I went politely assertive pointing out that this was the third discharge with no dietary support for an 87 year old who had been told he had type 1 diabetes.

Oh yes it turned out that the system is that one team teaches you to inject another educates you.

when I was sure things were actually in place I fetched him home.

Today I went round to visit with Kassie - she was happy to see him but decided a chair to herself was more classy.
