Mother's Day Bubbles

It is no secret that I have long wanted a macro lens (a Canon EF 100mm F/2.8 L IS to be exact) to get that true 1:1 ratio. The cost, however, has always held me back. Instead, I decided to get my feet wet with a set of extension tubes and see if I could justify the price. This morning's Mother's Day champagne was an ideal time to try them out, even if I didn't break out a tripod for ultimate sharpness.
