Shimmering Beech

Since we moved in I’ve been longing for this section of the woodland to green up. Much of the land above the house is plantation woodland with pines and weird stands of Eucalyptus grown for bio-fuel apparently. This doesn’t seem to be ancient woodland, although there are a lot of bluebells, they  seem to be round the edges which are fringed with hazel recently coppiced.  It was proper forest bathing coming up here at lunchtime today.

Vik went back to teach for the first time in person since last year and came back very revived.
