Meet Daisy Dog

Our beautiful other "daughter" arrived today with Boyzee's Mum and Dad. She is a gorgeous 6yr old black lab and she was the love of our life for 4 years until I changed jobs and couldn't take her into work and Boyzee left the Army with the same outcome. She had been in work with one of us or at home with me on maternity leave everyday since she arrived as a little scrap of a puppy. At about the same time Boyzee's Mum and Dad had to send their 11yr old Golden Retriver to the vets to be put down, poor old thing had lost the use of her back legs and kept on collapsing.

It seemed like an ideal solution to let Daisy Dog go and live with them but we miss her every day and I am sad the children are growing up without a pet.

A real bonus today as we had her for the day and on Mother's day too. From being greeted first thing by the littles and their homemade cards (and a lovely present of a weekend bag to pack for the hospital...which was my fav Cath Kidston!!). We had a gorgeous Sunday lunch......Boyzee in chef mode, and then went out for a walk. I took this picture on the walk, she is so animated waiting for her ball to be thrown. She will always have a very special place in my heart!
