More decisions. With our neighbour “through the wall” we have agreed to put in a new fence. A few posts from the old one remain (long gone before we moved in 30+ years ago). We were given samples to help decide the width of the fence railings.

Weave had the stone wall repaired and reinforced. The pointing needs to cure which may take a bit longer with the cold and wet.

Our lamp post had its light replaced with a newer version this morning. Gone is the orange and now we have a bright light - almost like a spotlight - which beams into the rooms and even lights up the curtains! Quite what we will do next Christmas with the tree in the window when the curtains are open. It will be like having the Star of Bethlehem right outside.

The street is much more clearly lit but I am not yet persuaded the change is for the better. I’m sure the wildlife will also be confused. It did allow us to see the fox across the road in the neighbour’s garden!
