Wednesday: Tree Peony
Bright sunshine woke me at 6 this morning but 30 minutes later it was pouring with rain, which continued until early afternoon.
When the rain stopped I went to the greenhouse to empty excess water from trays.
Checked on the pots of seeds started off last Friday, everything very wet and none of them showing signs of life.
Brought the courgette, cucumber, Turkish rocket and crambe tartaria indoors. Started off seeds of an Italian purple cauliflower and crambe cardifolia. All 6 pots of seeds in a plastic container on bedroom window to see if I can get a quick germination before they rot!
Cut back a privet to give the side garden some light and air.
Lifted seedlings of tree peony (featured in today’s Blip) ready to share or sell for charity. Also lifted some persicaria https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2230792675525659774 and Solomon’s Seal https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/1983008 to add to my little stock of plants.
Been fancying pancakes and that’s what I had this evening, MrD had one or two as well - he’d got soaked a few times whilst on his deliveries!
Highlight of the week “Great British Sewing Bee” ... love it!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
