Motte

Went for a walk through Cumbernauld Glen this afternoon and then continued up and around Cumbernauld House Park before returning to my car. The rain showers at the start had been replaced by blue skies and fluffy white clouds by the time I had completed my circuit.

If anyone wants to see grand swathes of bluebells, Cumbernauld Glen is the place to go. But I decided my Blip would be of a wee cluster near the site of what remains of Cumbernauld's 12th century 'motte and bailey' castle.

Not just a New Town then!
