Spent much of the day in the garden tidying up a border. It felt like hard work - something I’d like to avoid. And it looks like I’ll be doing much more of that in the weeks ahead.
I’ve started reading Nomadland - the book which inspired the film. There are many tales of retired folk who can’t retire. I move between dismay at their predicament to wonder at their resilience. And very grateful for our own pension arrangements.
