2021 Friday — Leftovers

Mother’s Day flowers are still filling our home with intoxicating fragrance. Stargazer lilies last and last, so I’m sharing these with everyone, with you!

I had an injection of cortisone in my right thumb today at Kaiser Medical Center. It was the most painful injection I have ever experienced!

I specifically asked for a female doctor. The only female orthopedic — Dr. Cruz — was fabulous. She said I have trigger thumb. She talked and talked and explained and explained. She said the shot would be painful; I have a high threshold for pain, but good golly it hurt; however, my thumb has been aggravated for approximately 3 months. So that added to the pain.

It is still very painful now, but she said it would take 3 to 4 days to provide relief. A small percentage of the time the injection does not work at all; then surgery. So, I will wait and see.
