Herd of Hope
Yesterday l had to go down into the city to a camera shop to have the sensor on my camera cleaned. I finally found a place that will do it whilst l wait rather have to leave it in 'quarantine' for days.
Afterwards l wandered down Spittlefield market where l meet a friend for a spot of lunch. Whilst there we followed a trail of brass, life-size young elephants that make up an exhibition called Herd of Hope. The exhibition was put on by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (see extra photo 1). The young elephant in the photo is called Maktao, he was 3 months old at the time of his rescue after being found orphaned in an area known for human- animal conflict. There were 20 young elepants represented with a plaque giving the details of the circumstances for each one.
