Biggest Stick Competition

We've had a lovely day at Burnham Beeches, quite warm and sunny despite the forecast of light rain all day. We even had an open air picnic with some delicious samosas from the takeaway cafe there.

But of course the main point of the day was to see the grandsons and we would have done that even in heavy rain. It was the first time we had seen them since August. Rory seemed much more grown up, and Joe has become a real chatterbox, though still shy with us. They are still boys though, and keen on puddles, mud, ice cream and sticks.

It was lovely to see some different scenery too.
