JA Again For MM
I haven't got a Pooh Bear for Mono Monday , but I have got a Pompey Bear, which I have blipped before, and I have got another Jefferson Airplane link, this time to A A Milne.
Their song The Ballad of You & Me & Pooneil takes a lot of the lyrics, almost word for word in places, from two of his poems, Spring Morning & Halfway Down.
If you were a bird and you lived very high
You'd lean on the wind when the breeze came by
You'd say to the wind as it took you away
That's where I wanted to go today
If you were a cloud and you sailed up there
You sail on water as blue as air
You'd see me here in the fields and say
"Doesn't the sky look green today?"
Halfway down the stair is a stair
Where I sit and think about you and me
It's the first track on the After Bathing At Baxters album and I've got a memory of the cover art being reproduced on the front of the Virgin Records store in Birmingham. I regret never having taken a photo of that.
Of course just after sorting out my blip mrsfb found an Eyeore which might have been better than this, but too late I'm afraid.
In other news we have booked flights to go to Munich in July to stay for a few days with daughter#2! She is flying over to see Adele (a concert that is, not a personal meeting) and we will fly back with her. That's the plan anyway. She is still testing slightly positive for Covid by the way, although she seems to be over it now and has her sense of smell back.
Camera club tonight, printing.
