Finally (almost) finished with the front cover of my Lap Book. The only thing left is the two straps.
The clay buttons have been drying for a while and I painted them yesterday. I finished the painting today when I filled in the pattern with another acrylic colour. 
I'd cut the felt yesterday too, and also two small pieces that I wanted to reinforce the felt were I'd sew the buttons. 
Today I sewed the buttons and found some wool in the right colour. I needle felted that in some places, just for a bit of extra colour and texture. I used embroidery thread to stitch the sides and then I glued the whole thing down. I'm happy with the outcome and will do (almost) the same thing with my cousins book.
