Day One ..........

At 08.30 it looked like this ............. at 12.30 it looked like it does above.

Good lads, tidied up, didn't drink tooooooo much tea and coffee, refused hot breakfasty sandwiches but ate a full packet of chocolate digestives between the two of 'em.

Electrician (first fix) tomorrow, plasterer Wednesday/Thursday and then the builder boys are back again on Monday to fit the new base and wall cupboards, sink unit, hob, double oven, extractor and do the tiling.  At some point next week the electrician will be back to finish off - not sure when, in that grand scheme of things.

Meanwhile I am managing with a bowl on a small garden table, water from the outside tap, microwave, kettle and toaster in the utility room, pre-cooked food from the freezer  -  jolly good fun - like camping ...... but in a house.  :o))
