After a bit of a late start due to waiting in for someone to change our water meter, and someone else to deliver a hired ladder, ( which we've now postponed) we decided to walk up Hartsop over How. Had to be worth it with a lovely name like that.
The weather was better than forecast and really rather good for walking, not too hot or cold, dry, with little wind. At the beginning of the walk there are some hawthorn trees which will look stunning in a few days time but only this one was showing much blossom.
